Rockforever.com announced today that The Voices of Classic Rock will embark upon a Latin American Tour beginning on December 1, 2000, one month from today. The tour will include seven concerts in three different countries over ten days. The Voices of Classic Rock is the live performance entity of Rockforever.com, featuring Rockforever.com Member Artists (in various configurations and combinations) representing the site live and in concert.
The tour will kick-off on December 1 in San Jose, Costa Rica. From there it progresses to Panama City, Panama for a show on December 2. The entourage is then scheduled northward for shows in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterey and two other Mexican cities beginning on December 6.
The Voices performance roster for the tour includes (in alphabetical order) Larry Hoppen (of Orleans), Bobby Kimball (of Toto), Mike Reno (of Loverboy), Mickey Thomas (of Starship), and Joe Lynn Turner (of Rainbow and Deep Purple). Jimi Jamison (of Survivor) joins the tour for its Mexican leg.
"They love their Classic Rock in Central America," commented Starship's Mickey Thomas. "We're really looking forward to this - great audiences in some pretty cool places. It doesn't hurt that it'll still be golf and pool weather in early December, either."
Rockforever has dubbed the combined dates the "Rockin' The Americas Tour." The shows will feature each of these lead singers performing their greatest hits, including "Still The One," "Rosanna," "Working for the Weekend," "We Built This City," "Stone Cold," "My Woman From Tokyo," and "The Search is Over."
