The Voices of Classic Rock and WPLJ Radio announced today that r o c k f o r e v e r . c o m Artist Peter Rivera, Peter Rivera original lead singer/drummer of Rare Earth from 1969-1975 who provided Rare Earth their unique vocal sound, has joined the roster for Thursday evening's concert at Rye Playland, outside New York City. Rivera is scheduled to perform his Top Ten Hits "Get Ready," "Hey Big Brother," and "I Just Want To Celebrate."
Peter Rivera joins other Voices of Classic Rock Artists Larry Hoppen (of Orleans), Dave Jenkins (of Pablo Cruise), Bobby Kimball (of Toto), John Cafferty (of John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band), Mike Reno (of Loverby), and Joe Lynn Turner (of Rainbow and Deep Purple) as confirmed performers on the WPLJ show.

"Thursday's concert features seven premier artists who will absolutely rock the house," said r o c k f o r e v e r . c o m Manager Charlie Schmitt. "The show is nothing but hits. This specific concert will also be unique as we're taping it live for use in our upcoming digital album release that will be released for Christmas.
