"Rehearsal begins at about 11:00 AM today," noted r o c k f o r e v e r . c o m Manager Charlie Schmitt, "but today we'll also add the dimension of a 32 track recording session, as well. As our fans and users know, r o c k f o r e v e r . c o m is not only a digital music channel, it is also a digital recording label. We are very close to announcing some new strategic alliances in this regard, and our these recording sessions are designed to help provide an array of musical product that we'll release streamed, downloadably and (semi) conventionally (through those alliances) in the fourth quarter of this year."
The actual recording process will feature several recorded "takes" from each singer during today's full call rehearsal and session, followed by a complete live recording of tomorrow's show. "This will give us the opportunity to mix the best of the best and help our engineers to anticipate what's coming musically and technically," explained Larry Hoppen, former Orleans lead singer and the musical director of the Woodstock sessions. "In large part, the live show will provide the base, when we capture the magic of the moment - crowd inspiring musician and musician lifting the crowd. By starting in the studio today we simply enhance the value and potential of those ultimate finished tracks."
Users may view the session cybercast by logging onto r o c k f o r e v e r . c o m or RadioWoodstock.com.
