Recorded live on 4th April 1975 in Graz, Austria, 5th April 1975 in Saarbr?cken, Germany and 7th April 1975 in Paris with the Rolling Stones mobile recording unit, this recording, comes from Ritchie Blackmore's last three concerts with the band before leaving to form Rainbow. It features Purple's Mark III, with David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass and vocals. Blackmore, for his swan song, injects a good deal of excitement, and his invention and fire raise the proceedings up somewhat. There also exists a 2CD set with remixed, remastered and additional material compiled from the same three concerts. |
