Gary Chaffee, Master Drumset instructor to drum greats such as Vinnie Colaiuta, Jonathan Mover, JR Robinson, and Kenwood Dennard, as well as performer with the likes of Pat Metheny, Dave Samuels, Jaco Pastorius, Mike Stern, and Bill Frisell, has earned the respect of musicians worldwide.

The lessons in this section come from the material presented in his two videos, Phrasing and Motion and Sticking Time, Linear Time, Rhythm and Meter.

LAUNCH the Paradiddle Applications Screen, Listen to the examples, first with and then without the accompaniement (use the 'solo' and 'mute' buttons), and then 'have a go' at becoming the next Vinnie Colaiuta or Steve Smith. You'll be studying with their teacher, Gary Chaffee.

**Remember . . . you can slow down and speed up the exercises to match your ability and you can mute and solo the drums so you can 'become the drummer' as you play along with the rhythm section.
